I moved to Knoxville in 2017 and dove head first into the post-production world. Starting as an assistant editor,

I previously interned with the Florence Freedom, a professional baseball team in Florence, Kentucky, where I was first introduced to motion graphics and graphic design. While creating scoreboard graphics, promotional videos, and operating live cameras, I discovered my passion for video production and knew I wanted to pursue it as a career. 

Although I had an undying love for sports, I still hungered to learn more about video production, particularly film, and in early 2015, I was accepted into the FTMA program at Sacred Heart University. In September of that year, I moved to Stamford, Connecticut and dove head first into the film industry. 

I obtained a Post-Production Fellowship for FTMA, and was able to scratch my creative itch by regularly creating content for the program and helping teach the basics of post-production to other students. I also took on several set roles ranging from production assistant to assistant director.  

I also delved into the world of documentary and nonfiction filmmaking while interning with Triple Threat Television, a production company in Stamford, Connecticut that specializes in nonfiction entertainment. Serving as both an assistant editor and associate producer, I organized and prepped footage for the finishing editor, worked on the development of several television shows, and learned firsthand how a production company takes a simple idea and transforms it into a full-fledged film.

In October 2016, I walked out of Sacred Heart as a producer of three graduate level thesis films, editor of the 2016 FTMA Festival Best Picture, and owner of a brand spankin' new Master's degree. 

Which brings me to the here and now. 

I am currently an Assistant Video Editor for Elastic Pictures, an animation and VFX studio in Knoxville, Tennessee, and absolutely loving what I do. 

With everything I've learned thus far, I can say with absolute certainty that I am a storyteller at heart. Whether it be sports, drama, or whatever genre that is out there, I know that being a video editor will satisfy my constant craving to create, but also tell a story for an audience to enjoy.

Based in Knoxville, TN, Rudy is a storyteller who loves fast paced, high energy visuals. He is currently employed at Elastic Pictures, an animation studio specializing in 3D animation and color grading.
